Gather alongside Coweta's female leaders and pioneers as we hear from Shan Cooper, Executive Director of the Atlanta Committee for Progress, a prestigious committee comprised of more than 40 highly-engaged chief executive officers, university presidents and civic leaders who offer expertise in service to Atlanta and its future development.

Formerly serving as the chief transformation officer of WestRock, Shan was responsible for many facets of the company. Prior to her time at WestRock, she served as vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company and was responsible for the 6,000 employee operations taking place around the U.S.

Shan was named Georgia Trend Magazine's 2015 Most Respected Business Leader; the 2015 Women of the Year by American Association of University Women; and as one of Georgia Trend Magazine's Most influential Georgians in 2012-2016. She also was named one of Black Enterprise Magazine's Most Powerful Executives in Corporate America in 2017.

Shan is generously sharing her story as a powerful business women who has made quite the impact in Georgia's business community, and we are excited to hear about her journey!

Chamber membership has its perks and we want you to make the most of them! At this free event, Chamber members will enjoy a casual breakfast while learning about the Georgia Chamber SMART Plan, a healthcare plan designed for small business employers.

The Georgia Chamber has teamed up with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield to administer the Georgia Chamber SMART Plan. This health care plan allows smaller employers to join together to share in the overall claims risk. By being part of a larger, self-funded pool, employers have financial protection backed by Anthem. The Georgia Chamber SMART Plan is available to small business employers with at least two employees enrolled on their medical plan and no more than 50 total employees, domiciled in Georgia. Eligible employers must also be Newnan-Coweta Chamber members in good standing.

Join us for the final Non-Profit Alliance meeting of the year, hosted by Family Patterns Matter!  Breakfast will be served. 
 
Founded in 2013 in Coweta County, the board of directors made a decision to be a youth-based development organization. The board of directors, along with successful professional community leaders, designed a strategic plan for success. The purpose is in defining generational patterns in families to allow for positive results so the next generation has the opportunity to thrive.
 
Family Patterns Matter’s mission: To build a foundation for healthy families through education, individual personal support and community connections.

The meeting will be held at Benton House of Newnan.

Open to all Chamber member non-profits to network, share, raise awareness, and educate. Meets quarterly at different non-profits.
